Don’t Keep It In

I need you to know something. It won’t take long, just a minute if you have it. I know you’re busy but please listen up. It’s important.

The loneliness you’re feeling right now. The anxiousness for the future. The decision fatigue that’s holding you down. The moments when you’re sure you’ll break. The moments you do. The grief. The brokenness. The tears you can’t hold back any longer. The overwhelm. The worry. The words that lash out with regret. The numbness. The confusion. The fear. The heartbreak. The sorrow. The disappointment. The way you feel stuck.

Repeat after me.

“This is NOT WHO I am. This is how I FEEL.

I am not alone.

I am loved.

Tomorrow is a new day. ”

Sweet one, don’t keep it in. Don’t hide it away in shame.

Don’t let it be a secret, worrying that you’ll be judged or believing that everyone else is fine.

It’s not just you! Others will understand.

Tell someone. Tell anyone. Let them know what you’re feeling.

Name it. Release it. That’s when it starts to lose its grip.

Then repeat after me.

“This is NOT WHO I am. This is how I FEEL.

I am not alone.

I am loved.

Tomorrow is a new day.”

Repeat it as many times as you need to, until you believe it.

Then say a prayer, and pray that prayer as many times as you need to, until you feel peace.

Deep breath in.

Exhale.

Be free.
